ERIC WAUGH
ERIC WAUGH, from Montreal, Canada, is one of the most innovative, recognizable and collected young artists of fine art among both private and corporate collectors worldwide.
His explosive palette combines with rich textural effects in bold and graphic interpretations of a glowing future. Waugh’s sophisticated use of vibrant colors and lively subject matter infuses his art with energy and vitality.
Beyond his studio work, Waugh brings another dimension to his art with live painting performances. People who seldom, if ever, see the artistic process in action, watch in amazement as Waugh lets the music guide his brushstrokes as he creates art before their eyes. Waugh has painted live on stage beside such diverse talents as Tony Bennett, Nelly Furtado, the Wallflowers, the Doobie Brothers, Sheila E, and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. It’s a rare opportunity to see an internationally known artist like Eric Waugh create his latest work live. |

“Much of my work is truly inspired by music,” says Waugh, “and the incredible difference that music and art can make in the lives of countless people.” Waugh gives generously of his time and talent, especially to children’s organizations such as Give Kids the World, the Children's Miracle Network, the Make a Wish Foundation, St. Jude's Research Hospital, and many others. Waugh was also featured on the 2007 season finale of "Extreme Makeover, Home Edition," painting for Camp Heartland, a summer camp for kids affected by HIV and AIDS.
Waugh's artistic imagination earns him respect and admiration, placing him at a level of distinguished prominence in today's competitive art market. Never content with what he has already accomplished, however, Eric Waugh continues to flex his artistic muscles and push his art in new and exciting directions, to the delight of art lovers worldwide. |
