Welcome to Henley Festival 2010
If you're new to the Henley Festival, welcome to one of the 'must-do' events of the English Summer. The Henley Festival was invented to make sure that absolutely anyone who walked through our gates would leave at the end of the evening having had an amazing and unique experience: top stars, great music, fireworks, great art and loads of surprises, not to mention a range of bars and restaurants unequalled in the festival world. And, of course, there's the Festival enclosure itself. One beautiful place just to be.
If you are familiar with the Henley Festival, then you will partly know what awaits - except that this year there is more than ever that is new: new venues, new bars and restaurants and a new nightly timetable. Above all though, we absolutely live up to our strap line, 'five nights under the stars, with the stars'.
It goes without saying that there are the major artists and acts on the Floating Stage, but also we serve up for your delight ....
Club Rendez-Vous early
Each evening at 7pm enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Club Rendez-Vous to listen to great music from young and establishing artists as well as experienced and prestigious ensembles.
Fireworks
Immediately following the Floating Stage concerts four fabulous pyrotechnic displays, best viewed from the Riverside Lawn (Wednesday to Saturday only)
Club Rendez-Vous late
The place to meet towards the end of the evening five bands from around the world whose infectious music will get you up and dancin' - including Vive la Danse; three fired up Gallic bands to guarantee that you 'cut that rug ...'
Le Café du Soir
Each night (Wednesday to Saturday) following the Floating Stage concert and fireworks, get yourself snuggled up in the Café du Soir for great comedy, cabaret and just a little bit of sauce ...
FEAST!
the Henley Festival's visual arts programme - throughout the Festival enclosure galleries and lawns overflow with remarkable and collectable art.
The Resident Company of Eccentrica
The Henley Festival's life, soul and funny bone - beautiful, absurd, surreal, delightful and sometimes downright silly acts and installations throughout the evening throughout the Festival enclosure.
Extra!
The Resident Company of Eccentrica will be replicating their collective silliness in Henley Town Centre on Saturday and you can see the FEAST! programme free of charge at The Art Event
