Henley Festival Orchestra 2011-2012: Bursary Scheme

Henley Festival's orchestra project is not only unique in Henley but also in the country.

Its Bursary Scheme offers the following to all participants:

  • Free loan of an instrument
  • Free insurance of the instrument [note 1]
  • Subsidised weekly in-school one-to-one tuition with expert project tutors.10 half hour lessons per term to start immediately. [note 2]
  • Free membership to a brand new orchestra
  • Free 'Orchestra Music days': group activities for all members of the orchestra [note 3]
  • Participation in performances including 2012 Henley Festival
  • Free opportunities to attend other Henley Festival rehearsals and related events
  • The great social experience of music making!
  • Participation in a unique national first

notes

  1. subject to written agreement
  2. Fees of £100 per term (£10 a lesson), will be invoiced at the start of each school term, to include all group activities
  3. Two Sundays each term

What to do now ... to register your interest, please complete and return the APPLICATION FORM. We will contact you immediately to let you know if you have a place, and to have a chat. Your child's instrument will then be ordered in time for the first lesson.
